On April 6, the Inclusive Extremadura Canoeing Club was presented. This Club, which was born last October, has as one of its main objectives, to make the KS (Kayak Special) category internationally known. Currently athletes with different intellectual capacities can participate in national championships, but there is no international competition calendar today.
This association is chaired by Carmen Ledesma, mother of Elena Ayuso, Spanish champion of paracanoe, version for the disabled of canoeing.
The event was attended by numerous personalities among which were the mayor of Badajoz, Francisco Javier Fragoso, the water commissioner of the Guadiana Hydrographic Confederation, Domingo Fernández, the first vice president of the Provincial Council, Ricardo Cabezas and Pablo M. Ritoré as a collaborator of the new Club.
From Territorio-Gaming we are proud to participate in this project, supporting this activity to promote sport and integration that we are sure will achieve its objectives.
